The Truth Behind My "Overnight Success"

Most people look at me as an “over night success” story that originated back in 2019. Here is the side of the story most have not heard. I actually started my online journey in 2012. After dropping out of college, all I really wanted was a way to pay off my $114,000 student loan debt.

My Nonie would call me asking why I am falling behind on my student loan payments. “I thought you were working 3 jobs, what is going on? Don’t you know this is messing up my credit score,” she’d ask disappointedly. I would work my day job, head to my restaurant job, come home and do the “sun rise shift” in my home office making every attempt to pull in sales online. I failed forward for about 7 years before that “over night success.”

I spent those 7 years lying to myself saying, “6 more months I will quit my job!” Finally, I went for it. On November 30th, 2018, I cut the safety net and took my online business full time. I created a Facebook group and started documenting my journey. I showed my audience my -$454 bank account, my overdue $97,000 student loan and I boldly claimed to achieve 5 huge goals:

After launching my first funnel, I used my commissions to attend my first Funnel Hacking Live. I remember getting up into the third row for the Awards Ceremony. I sat there in awe watching all of the Dream Car Winners cross the stage to accept their awards and I saw the vision.

In that moment, I gained the belief in myself that this was real… this was possible for me. I left Funnel Hacking Live with my game plan fully mapped. One thing Russell kept mentioning at FHL, was to start publishing every day for a year and to not stop.

The first goal I announced inside of he Clickfunnels Official Facebook Group on March 12, 2019 came to actualization only 66 days after starting my own Facebook Community.

I knew that if I stayed focused on each of the goals listed above, worked diligently to take the action steps on a daily basis, I could achieve all of these goals.

Paid Off My 6-Figure Student Loan

I submitted my application for the Dream Car Award and archived the first of three major goals! All from just continuing to document my journey and providing value to my community. I was off to the races.

Next, I launched my first online course shortly after that which brought in over $34,000 in course sales. Between ClickFunnels affiliate commissions and course sales, I made more in that one month than the entire previous year waiting tables.

A few months later, I passed the 6 figure mark and paid off my entire student loan debt on Mother’s Day of 2019. It was a pretty amazing feeling when I presented the pay off note to my Mother and Nonie. It had been a pretty rough journey for them, even messing up their personal credit along the way because of my mistakes.

My First Hire... My Little Bro

And that’s when I made my big pivot. I realized I could sell sales funnels and start earning commissions every month from helping businesses get set up with ClickFunnels.

With the first big commission check I earned, I was able to hire my younger brother Jeremy full time to help me grow the business. He was still in school pursing his degree in Marketing and I brought him on as a part time intern.

We started to navigate what it was like to run “a real business” and he took on the roll of community manager and I began to delegate a lot of the things in the business that took me away from really scaling our marketing and sales efforts.

When he graduated in the Spring of 2019, he came on full time to become our Director of Lead Management. Here we are year’s later, and he has been a huge reason for the success of the Fulltime Freedom Movement we’ve built.

I Snuck into Russell's Event...

After hearing that I was going to be in Denver the same week as the 2 Comma Coaching event “Unlock The Secrets” was happening, I got an invite to come check out the event as a guest.

At first, I felt a little out of place, as this was only for Russell’s coaching clients and at the time, I wasn’t in 2CCX yet. At this event, I realized I had never felt so welcomed, understood, or part of something so amazing before. These were my people! I made the decision right then and there that I was going to enroll into Russell’s 2CCX coaching program at the first opportunity I got.

Thinking back now, it’s actually where I met some of my closest friends in the online world who are like family to me now. I ended up leaving with several podcast appearances, interview exchanges, joint ventures, and tons of memories.

I started flying to California for meetups and masterminds to surround myself around these other entrepreneurs that I met who were building 7 figure online businesses.

After realizing that for me to grow faster, I had to break out of my comfort zone and do something I’ve never done before.

I went back to Connecticut, I donated everything I own, loaded up what I could fit into my car, shipped it to San Diego and made the big move. It allowed me to leave the same place I had lived my entire life, so that I could focus on myself, begin hiring a team, and go after the next big goal of earning the 2CC award.

For the first time in my life I was fully free and it gave me the idea of my new business name, Fulltime Freedom.

After that move, I was able to go from being buried in student loan debt to earning $1 Million in revenue to hit a huge goal of mine to earn the 2 Comma Club Award.

Let me just say this… In the words of Biggie Smalls… “Damn right, I like the life I live ‘Cause I went from negative to positive… Don’t let ’em hold you down. Reach for the stars…”

In all seriousness, going from negative in the bank… no car… 6 figures of student loan debt… to living the life I’ve been able to achieve by surrounding myself around the right community and mentors, in such a short amount of time, has been one of the most humbling experiences of my entire life.

If you are reading this, and you are going for a goal that may seem a bit out of reach, just know you are a lot closer than you think. Keep the vision strong and your community stronger. Get around those who want to see you succeed.

There is no better place to be than in the company of those leveling up around you.

My First Million Dollars!

Inner Circle... Here We Come!

I remember the day I heard the news. My vision faded, I lost my aim, and I really wasn’t sure what my next move was going to be. I had just heard the news that Russell was closing down his Inner Circle.

It felt like my big dream of hitting my goals was taken from me and it was out of my control. I had to change my entire trajectory of what I was working towards. Then, an even bigger vision presented itself.

My community became my new mission. I began to focus on something bigger than myself, bigger than a monetary goal, and then something I didn’t foresee happened. Russell re-opened his inner circle!

I honestly could not have achieved this without the support of my community who helped me keep my vision strong even on the darker days. You might have days where you feel like your vision seems impossible, and I want to be here to stand as a reminder that it is not!

I joined Russell’s Two Comma Coaching Program which helped me double down on 5 Day Challenges to fill my own program, the “Fulltime Freedom Academy.”

My Final Goal I Set Back in 2019

I had one final goal… to Speak on Stage at Funnel Hacking Live. I had the opportunity to earn a speaking slot at FHL 2022. It was the Bootstrap Entrepreneur of the Year Award and I was a finalist in my category. The winner was going to get stage time at FHL! When it came down to the final 3, I was not selected and I knew I had to keep going for it.

I kept my vision strong. Everyday I would look at the background image of my computer screen, a photoshopped image of me speaking on stage at Funnel Hacking Live.

I attended his Inner Circle mastermind events, was able to get on stage and share my vision. This got me invited to write a chapter in his new book “Inside the Inner Circle” and I officially on his radar.

I kept showing up, getting in the right rooms, winning affiliate contests to get Russell’s attention, and became a top Affiliate for his Clickfunnels 2.0 Launch which got me in the room with Russell, Marketing Legend Dan Kennedy, and only 8 other amazing marketers.

That lead to me getting an opportunity to donate toward his new “School of Success” Library and Museum.

Then, IT HAPPENED! Russell invited me to speak on stage at Funnel Hacking Live to deliver my “Small Loyal Audiences, BIG Results” talk on stage!

Partnerships & Collaborations

The achievements I have been able to make happen because of my “small loyal audience” quickly got me noticed by some of the biggest names in the internet marketing industry.

Along the way, I have had amazing opportunities to partner with top players such as Russell Brunson and Grant Cardone.

Through these partnerships, I have had some big realizations. One being this… When I set my mind to something and take committed action towards my goals, not only can I achieve great things, but I also get to inspire others to do the same.

Now, I choose to be very intentional with this next set of goals I have set out for myself and my team. I realize that it is not so much about the revenue goals, but a much bigger aim!

My New Aim

Making millions of dollars online is pretty remarkable. If you told me a few years back that this is something I would achieve I definitely wouldn’t have believed you.

However, I believe there comes a time that we must stop running away from pain as motivation and start running towards something so much greater than ourselves. The true “why” behind what we do. Find whatever that is, set the new aim, make it far more impactful than money and the universe will provide what it is that you need to make it happen.

That is why I have set my new aim to become focused on contribution and service. We are dedicated to building 100 homes for families in Baja Mexico and have already sponsored 4 builds for families in need.

I am forever grateful and am here to continue to grow this movement to show the world what they are truly capable of when they surround themselves around the right friends, community, and mentors.

Building A Legacy

I’ve developed what I believe is a foolproof strategy for executing conversion events applicable to both newcomers and seasoned business coaches. This strategy has netted me over $3 million, and now my goal is to empower others like you to build a legacy you can be proud of.

Today, I have a client base of over 600 individuals running conversion events worldwide, and I won’t stop until I’ve impacted 10,000 lives. If a regular restaurant server from Connecticut can do it, so can you.
